Brew #5 — Oakmeal Stout

Brewed on New Year’s Day. Recipe bought by my lovely girlfriend.

(soaked oak chips in bourbon – lots of weird oaky bourbon flavor in beer- weak mouth feel for stout — Very carbonated)

OG: 1.050
FG: 1.020
= 4% ABV

Steeping Grains:
.5lbs Chocolate
.25lbs Carapils
.5lbs Black Patent

Malt Extract:
6.6lbs Traditional Dark Liquid Malt Extract

Hops:
Bittering: 1oz Fuggle — 60 minutes
Flavoring: 1oz East Kent — 20 minutes
Aroma: 1oz Fuggle — flameout

Yeast:
White Labs 001 California Ale Yeast
